According to eyewitnesses and a leader of the Jecko Town Community where the late Angel was residing, Mr. Armstrong Russell, little Angel had gone with three of her peers to swim in the Benson River on Sunday, February 19, 2023, where she met her untimely death.
Mr. Russell in his statement said they have advised Angel and other kids residing in the community not to play around the river considering and knowing the danger the river poses to residents around it.
Also, Jefferson Davis, an uncle of the deceased said he was surprised to have gotten information that Angle Davis got drowned in the river.
He has since regrated the situation, but described the situation as a serious setback and disappointment for the family, most especially his biological brother.
The remains of the late Angel Davis have finally been turned over to the family for preservation, following a report from the 15-man jury who observed that there was no foul play.
Our Grand Bassa Correspondent observed that the both eyes and mouth of the deceased were damaged, something the family and eyewitnesses claimed was done by fishes, Crabs, and other creatures in the river.
