MONROVIA-A former Representative Candidate in District #5 Montserrado County, during the 20 17 Legislative and Presidential Elections, Benjamin Wehye has urged the young people across the country to scrutinize those vying for the Representative, Senatorial, Seats including the Liberian Presidency.

He wants the collaboration of political actors not to be tied to unseating President George M. Weah but should instill values in the young people.

Speaking on Truth FM 96.1, Monday, February 20, 2023, the Liberian Educator said if nothing is done to change the negative perceptions concerning politics in the country,   politicians will continue to engage in negative propaganda to destroy the country.

He indicated that the transformation of the country can only be achieved through hard work but not negative propaganda.

He noted that the Administration of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf did not give the young people unprecedented opportunities as compared to President Weah’s Leadership.

“President Weah was able to put the young people into positions and power that they are now enjoying. These young people who are in power are going to fight to maintain their respective positions.

“The opposition has been unable to provide such opportunities for the young people. The opposition has not done anything to invest in the human resource capacities of young people.

“Opposition political parties are not making leaders but slightly drawing leaders to them something he said need to be changed.
