MONROVIA-In fulfillment of his burning desire to ensure that there is road connectivity to every nook and cranny of the country, the Liberian Leader, President George M. Weah has embarked on the inspection of major road projects across the country.

The inspection exercise,  which began on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, is expected to encourage contractors to accelerate efforts aimed at the completion of these projects.

Speaking during the inspection exercise, Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker-Collins noted that the visit of President Weah at various sites will motivate these contractors to ensure that the projects are completed on time.

The inspection began from ELWA to Coca-Cola, the PHP National Defense Project is expected to continue this Friday, in Voijama, Lofa.

The Liberian Leader was accompanied by the World Bank Regional Vice President for Western and Central Africa, Mr. Ousmane Diagana.

The visit of the World Bank Regional Vice President was intended to assess and monitor the impact of funding being provided to Liberia by the World Bank.

The inspection tour, which was highly attended by high-ranking Officials of the Government of Liberia, brought joy and satisfaction to marketers at Red-light Market.

The Marketers expressed their delight in the ongoing projects and the determination employed by President Weah in salvaging the country’s road deficit.

Officials of Government who are currently inspecting roads in the country include, Public Works Minister Ruth Cooker-Collins, Information Minister Legerhood Rennie, and Foreign Affairs Minister D. Maxwell Kameyah, amongst others.

At the same time, the Regional Vice President for Western and Central Africa Mr. Ousmane Diagana expressed enthusiasm for the road projects being initiated by the government.
