MARIJUANA VALUED AT OVER $30,000LD ARRESTED IN NTA BUS

MONROVIA-The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency ( LDEA) has made another arrest of narcotics substances; this time around involving an unknown passenger of the National Transit Authority bus, NTA. Plate #:30512.

“The arrest was made Monday, at about 2:00 pm February 6, 2023”. Security said.

According to LDEA Maryland Commander and Special Agent Joseph Tegeddine, the items arrested are three (3) parcels of comprised marijuana with a street value of $LD 30,000.

NTA Bus Where The Marijuana Were Arrested In

LDEA boss said the arrest came following a security search on the NTA bus at the 1-2-1-2 checkpoint outside Maryland Capital, about 6 kilometers away from Harper The LDEA Maryland Commander stated that since the discovery of said unlawful substances nobody is yet shown up to claim the substances.

” This is one of the reasons we have introduced passengers to get down at every checkpoint even though some passengers normally say that we can be disturbing them every time but here is it now with the discovery of drugs in the same NTA bus”. Joseph Tegeddine, narrated.

According to him, they are also planning to arrest the bus operator since there is no owner yet of the arrested marijuana.

He stressed that it has become a continuous habit of most passengers, to use the NTA bus to transport different illegal substances in the County.

In recent times, In Maryland County- The Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency has made a big arrest; involving two alleged notorious drug dealers and criminals in Maryland County.

The two were forwarded to the fish Town Prison Compound awaiting court trial. The arrest of those two drug dealers, residents say has brought great relief to the citizenry in Harper.
