MONROVIA-Information boss, Ledgerhood Rennie, has sharply responded to a political attacking statement from Nimba County, Prince Y. Johnson.

A recent comment from Senator Prince Y. Johnson calling on citizens from Nimba County not to vote President Weah during the Legislative and Presidential Elections because of the murder of the two Nimbaians under the leadership of President Weah.

Following a panel discussion at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism on February 1, 2023, Minister Ledgerhood Rennie mentioned that the statement from Senator Prince Y. Johnson is a rejoinder to the government of Liberia.

According to him, the deaths of the two government officials were investigated through the help of the United States government along with embassies accredited near Monrovia.

He disclosed that Senator Johnson knows the truth surrounding the deaths of the two government officials.

“It is unfair to the government of Liberia that Senator Johnson will sit and accuse them of having a hand in the deaths of the two top government employees,” he noted”.

He urged Senator Johnson to provide evidences to his comment through the Ministry of Justice in relation to his allegations

Minister Rennie called on Senator Johnson to bring his evidence on the table so that it can be investigated through what he referred to as ‘the proper channel’.

He challenged Senator Johnson to provide behind all reasonable doubts to bring report or record about his comments.

“I challenge Senator Johnson in this open public to bring evidences,” he said.

He disclosed that if Senator Johnson has any evidence, let him provide it for the people of Liberia to see so that they will be the judge.
