GBARNGA-Phebe Community, Suakoko District#5-As the 2023 Presidential and Legislative  Elections draw nearer in Liberia, the political atmosphere in Bong has begun rousing and politicians vying to be elected or re-elected have begun voicing out their short and long-term plans when elected or re-elected at the Liberian Parliament.

One of those contesting for Legislative Seat in Electoral District # 5 Bong County is Mr. Dwight Gbagbar Urey, an eminent son of Suakoko District, Bong County.

He has since declared his ambition to represent the people of District # 5 in Bong County.

Urey mentioned that his quest to contest in Bong County is due to the deplorable living conditions of citizens in the District.

The Bong County Aspirant who has been in the United States of America in pursuit of greener pastures and quality education noted that he is prepared to restore the hope of the citizens.

Mr. Urey stressed that when elected as Representative in District # 5, he will initiate programs within three (3) years  to enhance  agricultural activities in the district.

He cited that his Organization’s mission and vision is to ensure by 2027, Suakoko District be at full capacity for feeding its Citizens through Agricultural activities.

District #5 hopefully explained that his Organization branded as ‘Agriculture through Action’ is currently working in SKT town and is expected to employ a little over 3,000 inhabitants in the district in the next two years.

Mr. Urey added that the Organization has cultivated over 7.5 hectares of swamp rice in SKT and they are also constructing a factory in the Goll farm community for the processing of garlic and other local Agriculture produce in different forms for human consumption to remedy the high hunger rate in Suakoko and Liberia by extension.

The US base-Liberian named vibrant unity in the district, improve health deliveries and improve the Agricultural system, and the provision of scholarships for citizens of the District as key tools placed on his agenda.

The Bong’s District #5 Representative Hopeful pointed out that for so long inhabitants of the District have been busy tearing each other apart due to the lack of unity; something he described as a major factor impeding the developmental progress of the district.

The Representative hopeful disclosed that upon his ascendency at the Legislature comes 2023, he will zealously endeavor to unite the district and its people.
