“Nimba Experiences Sharp Decrease in Land Disputes”,

...Nimba Land Administrator Discloses


SANNIQUELLIE-The Land Administrator of Nimba County Eddie Beangar said the county has experienced a drastic decrease in land dispute cases under his administration.

Making the disclosure at his Sanniquellie office on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Mr. Beangar unveiled that 48 out of 66 land cases were resolved in 2022 something he noted was a great boost for the County and his office in particular.

He attributed the such achievement to the level of community engagements he and his team have had with the people over the period.

“We will continue our efforts especially when it comes to interpreting the Land Rights Law to our people”, he emphasizes.

The local government official knowledge the existence of some outstanding land disputes in the county and his office is yet to resolve them; however, his office is gradually working towards addressing them soon.

Meanwhile, He named the continuous encroachment on streets in the various cities by the citizens and the lack of mobility as some of the challenges his office is faced with and it is also impeding his work.
