MONROVIA-Leaders and stakeholders of the Matambo Corridor in Grand Cape Mount County faces were covered with laughter upon receiving 150 bags from Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC).
The donation of the 150 bags of 25kg rice presented by the institution recently is part of the celebration of Christmas gifts to the people.
Making the presentation, the company’s community relations superintendent, Samuel Vincent said, “We’ve just presented on behalf of the BMMC 150 bags of 25kg rice to stakeholders and leaders of the Matambo Corridor”
According to the company, it is the management’s own way of identifying with them during this festive season.
Clan Chief Lahai Massaquoi spoke on behalf of the community.
The clan chief extended thanks and appreciation to the management for remembering the community during this time of hardship.
For his part, Development Chair, Saliho said, “This is what we expect of the company.”
He added, “We are also asking them to make quick responses to our requests, even if it’s no. If you are eating and we are eating too, there will always be peace.”
The recipients extended thanks to the management for the remembrance and prayed for the cordial working relationship.
“Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year to the BMMC family,” he said.
