Some 70K Gov’t Workers To Get Pay December 5

MONROVIA-Some 70 thousand government workers are expected to get their December salaries by December 5^{, 2022.}

 ^{Finance Development Planning Minister Samuel Tweah proclaimed the commitment recently when he appears at the Liberian Senate.}

^{According to Minister Tweah, President George M. Weah instructed him to ensure that government workers’ pay begins on December 5, 2022.}

^{The Finance Minister who is now seeking medication abroad} due to a motor accident on his way from attending the Lofa County Community College graduation noted that the Government was faced with some challenges that caused a little delay in the payment of the ^{government’s salaries for the month of October.}

^{“The senator said, I must speak the truth, I must speak the facts, Government’s October salaries have been issues,  but the government has paid the October salaries; there may be a small issue   but these issues are not about money”, he indicated.}

^{Minister Tweah further told the senators that “the government has money to pay on December 5, the issue is not about money, the government has money to pay civil servants, there were some technical issues, I cannot say something that is not the fact “}

^{He disclosed that government workers have received their Novembers’ salaries as of the 29th of last month and the government is prepared to pay for December by the 5th up to the 15th.}
