Liberia German Clinic Gets Big Boost

…as Dr. Freia Plahn Euler Donates Medical Materials

MONROVIA-Liberia German Clinic has been empowered with some useful medical materials as a means of enhancing its operations in meeting the health needs of Liberians and other nationality .
Dr. Freia Plohn Euler who sometimes works with the Liberia German Clinic in Paynesville donated some delivery beds, tables among others.

Presenting the materials to Authority of the Liberia German Clinic recently in Paynesville Dr. Euler Representative who did the donation on her behalf, Stephan Mulbah said, it was Dr. Freia Plohn Euler’s way of giving back to the health sector, especially to the clinic she one time worked with in aiding pregnant women to give safe delivery.
Mr. Mulbah said, Dr. Euler is committed to providing further support in the capacity to boost the Liberia German Clinic; that is fully aiding pregnant women and other women and children including elders who are faced with medical problems.

Speaking to our Reporter in Paynesville following the donation, the Chief Executive Officer of Liberia German Clinic Dr. Ponah Dolo expressed gratitude to Dr. Euler for such a donation.
Dr. Dolo further said the donated materials will boost their capacity in the area of delivery room, emergency and amongst others.

According to him, the clinic receive up to one hundred to one hundred seventy five pregnant women monthly and the beds will help greatly to meet the increasing number of patients, especially who will have a comfort bed to rest.
He added that some of the donated beds will be placed in the delivery room.
Dr. Dolo said Dr. Euler who had worked for several weeks with the clinic, especially with the women, prompted her to donate in that area.
He said the Chief Executive Officer of Liberia German Clinic Dr. Ponah Dolo said they were appreciative to Dr. Euler for the donation, but called on other humanitarian and good will people to emulate such an example of Dr. Euler.

According to him, the clinic is catering to Liberians and other nationals for over 40 years in Montserrado County.
Dr. Dolo however disclosed that the Liberia German Clinic played a critical role during the Ebola crisis that destroyed the lives of many people. The clinic was able to establish the Emergency Treatment Unit at the ELWA Compound.

He said most of those patients who underwent the treatment at the Liberia German Clinic ETU received the best treatment with a comfortable environment.
Dr. Dolo also disclosed that those who recuperate from the clinic ETU were also given three months free treatment for them and their families including the provision of other nonmedical support .
