NIR BOSS BREAKS GROUND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ANNEX AT PLEEBO GENERAL MARKET

MARYLAND-The Director of the National Identification Registry (NIR) Mr. John Tiah Nagbe has broken ground for the construction of a market annex at the Pleebo General Market in Pleebo City, Maryland County.

The groundbreaking ceremony which was held at the Pleebo General Market on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10 am, brought together Representatives of the Pleebo Attayee Forum, a Youth group, Representatives of the City authorities, a huge overwhelmed sellers including women and men, administration of the Pleebo General Market, amongst others.

The annex is intended to serve as a relief to the food products sellers to leave the rain and sun (women who sell pepper, Bitter-ball, palm nut, Garie, cassava, plantain, banana, Coconut, fufu, Green’s sellers, and many others).

Giving an overview of the project, the project manager of the group under the banner “Friends Of Tiah Nagbe” Mr. Dennis Weah disclosed that the project is a result of a request made to Mr. Nagbe from the Market Authorities to help them build a market annex. stressing that the project is none political and is intended for helping market women who are in need, he described it as “At Risk Women” to sell under a comfortable atmosphere.

Mr. Weah however intoned that the construction process is expected to commence on Monday, February 20, 2023, noting it’s expected to be completed in two weeks.

He however put the total cost of the building materials at over USD$ 15,000 (Fifteen Thousands United States Dollars).

“This project is not a political one as people may term it.

It will last for complete two weeks for dedication.

All of the materials are on the ground and our Engineers will work days and nights”. Said the Project manager of Team Tiah, Mr. Dennis Weah.

In separate remarks, attendees and beneficiaries lauded the efforts of Mr. John Tiah Nagbe and his supporters for such an initiative, thereby praying for implementation.

John Tiah Nagbe is the director of the National Identification Registry (NIR) in Liberia and is vying for the Senatorial seat of Maryland county, to unseat the county’s incumbent senator J. Gble-bo Brown.

In recent times the Head of the current National Identification Registry (NIR) and a Senatorial candidate hopeful J. Taih Nagbe vowed to provide 10,000 jobs for locals in the county when elected senator during this special Representative and Presidential election.

The NIR boss made the disclosure when he was addressing scores Of Marylanders on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Pleebo Attayeh Intellectual Discourse (PAID) in Pleebo, Maryland County Electoral district#2 Via mobile phone.

In his address to citizens in the County Vai mobile phone, Mr. Nagbe said if elected as Senator of Maryland county he will work with the government of Liberia and other International investors to create 10, 000 jobs opportunities for the people of Maryland county.

The Pleebo general market was instructed and dedicated in 2020, but since the construction, women who sell local food commodities have been marginalized in their areas of selling, leaving them under the sun and rain.

Meanwhile, the current head of the National Identification Registry (NIR) urged citizens to see his dream as means of moving the county and Country ahead.
