MONROVIA-Distressed Citizens of Fenell Community whose properties were demolished, during former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s Administration, are demanding the Government to settle the balance of US $ 4 Million.
Speaking Monday, April 3, 2023, at the University of Liberia Campus in the Fenell Community, they demanded that the Government of Liberia should clear the balance owed.
The Residents noted that the Leadership of President George M. Weah upon ascending to state power had promised to clear arrears owed.
The Spokesman of the aggrieved Liberians, James Kollie, noted that they have long tolerated the Government, but it seems that their plights are not being given serious attention.
He mentioned that the Government has promised to provide USD 2Million, since November.
“We cannot be fooled every time,” Kollie. recounted.
Kollie then called on the Minister of Finance, Development Planning, Samuel D. Tweah, Jr to make the funds available.
