-Vows To Implement Liberianization Policy

Samson Dee, the Registrar General of the Liberia Business Registry (LBR) has vowed to enforce the Liberianization law.

Recently, President George Manneh Weah appointed Dee as the Registrar General of the Liberia Business Registry (LBR) along with Nora T. Wreh as his Deputy to steer the affairs of that institution.

The Liberianization policy is aim at prioritizing Liberian businesses and in some specific positions in the country among others.

Chatting with journalists recently when he took over the institution as head, Dee added that he brought lot of experiences from the LRA that would help transform the institution.

According to him, the time has come for massive transformation to be effected within the Liberia Business Registry.

The LBR’s Registrar General further noted that the Liberianization Policy spoken about by President George Manneh Weah is surely going to be prioritized under his administration.

He also frowned at foreigners and aliens engaging in some of the twenty-six businesses allotted by the Liberianization Policy for Liberians.

He said foreigners or aliens violating Liberianization Law would be punished in keeping with Liberian Law, while at same time warning unpatriotic Liberians against fronting for foreigners and aliens when it comes to the implementation of the law.

Dee disclosed that in the first two hundred and fifty (250) days, he is going to introduce online business registration platform where people in other parts of the world will register their businesses and get their document on time.

He added that if such system is put into full operation, it would help the institution to be effective in its scope of operations.

The LBR’s boss emphasized that the Liberianization Policy allots some twenty-six (26) businesses aside for Liberians; adding that they as gate keepers are going to adhere to such.

The Registrar General asserted that nothing is going to prevent his administration from protecting the interest of Liberian – owned businesses in the country.

He however stated that under his leadership, the institution is going to be media friendly by having them informed about happenings within the institution.

According to him, if the staffers are getting attractive benefits, they would not be moved to get engage into any ugly acts that could undermine the good character of the entity.

He reminded employees of the LBR that he has not come at the institution to witch-hunt anybody neither to take away jobs from people.

He emphasized that his appointment by President Weah at the LBR is to work in collaboration with the staffers in promoting the President’s Pro-Poor Policy.

The LBR boss hailed President Weah for his preferment as Registrar General and assured him of his fullest support to his administration.

Samson Dee has over ten (10) years working experience in collecting revenue for the country and has come to the new position with commitment to service and wealth of experience.
