Labor Emphasizes Technical Vocational Education Significance

MONROVIA-The Minister of Labor, Cllr. Charles Gibson has underscored the need for technical and vocational education to be provided to all Liberians.

Cllr. Gibson stressed that the Country’s growth is hugely hinged on the provision of it.

Speaking recently at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affair and Tourism, Regular Press Briefing, he admonished parents to invest in their children by ensuring that they acquire technical and vocational education.

Cllr. Gibson pointed out that there are growing concerns in the labor sector for much emphasis to be placed on technical and vocational education.

He indicated that the Leadership of President George M. Weah is focused on transforming the labor sector through the provision of jobs.

Cllr. Gibson stressed that the Ministry has provided housing facilities for Liberians who were trafficked in Oman.

He indicated that these homes have been constructed in Margibi and Bomi Counties respectively.

Gibson revealed that the Government of Liberia has passed the human trafficking law.

“We have had 13 cases of human trafficking and won 12 of those cases,” he voice-out.
