MONROVIA-Musa Hassan Bility, controversial Chairman of Liberty Party, and Martin Saye Kollah National Secretary-General and former Chief of Office Staff in the office of Senator Dillon had been dragged to the Monrovia City Court over crimes of forgery, criminal conspiracy, and criminal facilitation.
The latest makes the third case from members of the opposition community of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) in Liberia. All three lawsuits have similar charges though filed by different individuals against members of the constituent parties within the CPP.
The third sue comes days after Bility dragged Montserrado County Senator who is also an executive member of their party (LP) to court.
Bility and Kollah have been accused by the state through three other officials of Liberty Party primary Romeo Corker.
It is being alleged that Senators Abraham Dillon and Nyonblee Karngar- Lawrence are the master-minds of the latest sue against the two executives of their party, for tampering with the LP’s Constitution.
The writ of arrest from the Monrovia City Court read: “you are hereby commanded to arrest the living bodies of Musa Hassan Bility and Martin Saye Kollah and bring them before the Monrovia Magisterial Court, Temple of Justice to answer to the crimes of forgery, criminal conspiracy and criminal facilitation based upon the oath of the Republic of Liberia through the magisterial office.”
The writ alleged that during the period of January 2021, the above-named defendants with the intent to deceive the membership and partisans of the Liberty Party as well as the public, conspired and criminally altered the constitution of the party after its convention in Gbarnga and submitted the same to the National Elections Commission (NEC) even though they were never authorized to do so.
The alleged action of the defendants being unlawful is in violation of section 15.70 and section 10.2, 10.3 of the new penal law of Liberia.
