MONROVIA-The Salvation Army Liberia and Sierra Leone Command Head of Mission Lt. col. Samuel Mkami says education is bedrock of any nation that is willing to develop the mind set of it people.
According to Lt. Col. Mkami said education is one of the tools that improve any country around the world and foster development from every sector.
He wants the government of Liberia to always invest in education if the developmental agenda of the country is to be actualized which according to him will help to change the mindset of the common people of Liberia.
The Salvation Army Head of Mission further noted that when the citizens of any nation are educated their thinking about the country will gradually change toward the country and it developmental activities.
Speaking at the 20th graduation program of the Len Miller Jr. and Sr. High school situated on 24th street in Sinkor on Saturday, February 13, 2021, Lt. Col. Samuel Mkami disclosed that the Salvation Army School System will always work in partnership with the government of Liberia in providing quality education to all Liberians despite of their condition and location.
The Salvation Army head of Mission praised the staff of the Len Miller High school for the sacrifices they are rounding up to the Liberian Children on a daily basis and also lauded the Principal Mr. Gabriel Obadiah Dossen for the able manor he is conducting the school.
The Salvation Army Len Miller High on Saturday February 13, 2021 graduated over two hundred fifty students at a well-attended program held at the roof top of the Salvation Army Liberia and Sierra Leone Command situated on 17th street Sinkor Monrovia.
Also speaking, the valedictorian of the Len Miller High school, Luseni D. Kamara who spoke on the topic the role of education in our lives challenged his fellow graduates to choose careers that will impact their lives and the country at large.
According to Student Kamara, the choice that the people made has the propensity of impacting their lives either a positive or negative way.
The Salvation Army and Sierra Command is one of the Christian Missions in Liberia that is helping in various sector, especially the educational sector. The Salvation Army according to information currently operates over nine schools in six of the fifteen counties in Liberia.
