MONROVIA-In an effort to give hope to the vulnerable sector of the Country, Christian organization, non for profit, nonpolitical, named and styled Serious Men and Serious Women Fellowship International on Friday, February 11, 2022 put smiles on the faces of underprivileged children in the Chicken Soup Factory Community.
The international body as part of its eighth-anniversary celebration identified with the Great Commission orphanage home with the donation of over twenty mattresses, two bags of rice, Argo oil, and a cartoon of soap including undisclosed cash for soup as kind purpose to the children.
Speaking during the presentation of the items, the President of the organization Mr. D. Melvin Nyanway said their gesture to the less fortunate kids is their way of giving hope and relief to the future leaders of the Country.
Nyanway, while thanking the caretakers and founder of the Great Commission Orphanage home for their tireless sacrifices to Liberian children over the years, was also hastened to encourage the kids to grow up as good citizens, remain focused and ensure that they receive the best of training and education that will help prepare them for the future.
“There is a bright future for you out there as such, i urge you to always be respectful, obedient children of God and learn to follow instructions from your teachers”, he added.
According to him the focus of their organization is to among other things engage in charity, outreach including spreading the gospel to the people.
In response to the gesture, the head of the orphanage home who shower praises on the Christian group for such a meaningful and timely assistance to them.
“There are many pressing needs for the kids and we are happy that you have come to help us and as well fill in the gaps in the future” , she noted.
She stated that despite some of their current challenges, she is working very hard to ensure that the dream of the vision bearer of the orphanage home, Mr. & Mrs. Mulbah does not die as such, she is encouraging well-meaning organizations and individuals to see the need to help the kids of Liberia especially those at the Great Commission orphanage home located in Chicken Soup Factory.
It can be recalled that on October 28, 1993, the Great Commission Orphanage Home was founded to among other things help homeless children in society in order to ensure that they achieve their goals.
“Since our existence, we have been surviving by goodwill gestures from organizations and individuals and we want to use this medium to reecho the need for more people to come and help us in order for us to continue to keep helping our children “, she pointed out.
Established on February 11, 2014, the non for profit, nonpolitical Christian organization, Serious men and serious women fellowship international has been contributing to the Country through humanitarian, outreach, and charitable initiatives including spreading the gospel to the larger population of the Country.
Meanwhile, the eighth-anniversary celebrations of SM/SW Fellowship International ended on Sunday, February 13, 2022 with an annual worship service at the St. Mary’s Parish in Tweh-Farm, district 16th Montserrado County.
