MONROVIA-Former Foreign Affairs Minister, Milton Gbehzohngar Findley who contested on the ticket of Coalition for Democratic Change, during the 2020 Senatorial Elections in Grand Bassa County has finally broken the political marriage with President George M. Weah.
During the Special Senatorial Election, Findley joined and contested on the ticket of Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).
Findley, in 2020, resigned from his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, but was beaten by Senator Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence of Liberty Party.
At the weekend in Grand Bassa County, the former President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate officially proclaimed the political divorce with President George Weah’s CDC and pledged his fullest support to the Presidential bid of Alexander Cummings and his running mate, Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine ahead of the October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
Speaking during his endorsement for the Collaborating Political Party (CPP) Mr. Findley told the gathering that he will take along all of his supporters to the CPP.
The former Pro-tempore of the Liberian Senate is preparing to contest the senatorial post in Grand Bassa County on the ticket of the CPP.
Recently in Grand Bassa County when President Weah visited the County, he (Weah) vowed to vigorously campaign against Findley in the October 10, 2023, Presidential and Legislative Elections, Elections.
