The ceremony was held in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.
According to ELBC’s Correspondent in the county, the ceremony started with a street parade through the principle streets of Zwedru.
More than one thousand (1000) participants from the sub-region are reported to have been in attendance to grace the occasion.
Now that the office is fully opened and dedicated, it is expected to host staff that will focus on issues affecting citizens of ECOWAS member states with a goal to sustain peace, good governance, cross border trade and security for all.
Meanwhile, the head of the regional office, Amadu Toure, has lauded the body for the opening of the regional office describing it as a relief for all member states.
Mr. Toure added that it is a window of job opportunities for Liberians, especially those residing in that part of the country. TNR
