Some students of Montserrado County district #15 have petitioned and honored Johnny Kpehe to contest the impending by-election within the district.
The students under the banner District #15 University Students Association said their decision to petition and honor Kpehe was triggered by his selfless role played in the lives of struggling students within the district.
The group through its chairman Josiah Johnson during the event over the weekend in the district said Kpehe contribution towards young people, particularly students within the district has distinguishes him from other within the district.
“Mr. Kpehe contribution towards the youth and students within our district is unmatched; something which has set him apart from his peers that led us into giving his flowers while he is still alive,” he said.
The group, at the same time, disclosed that in the coming days, they are going to launch what they called the Kpehe Technical Team of district #15, a program they said is expected to bring together over two thousands plus students and youth within the district.
For his part, Johnny Kpehe thanked the group and noted that he did not see anything of such coming his way, not even five years from now.
“I am speechless today by what I am seeing and hearing from these young people of our district. We never expected such this early but howbeit, we will continue to do what we are called to do and what we love to do,” Kpehe said.
He promised to work with the students and young people of district #15 for as long as he continues to breathe life but has promised to take the petition to his after which, he will make a decision.
