The District Education Officer (DEO) of Greater Montserrado District One-E has attributed ills in society to the lack of education.
Madam Lucia B. Paygai said contrary to an uneducated person, an educated person can take more meaningful decisions, and seldom tread the wrong path in life.
The Liberian educator was speaking at the weekend at a one-day interactive meeting with teachers, parents and spouse organized by the Kids Education Engagement Project (KEEP) held in Monrovia.
“I believe that the lack of education is mainly responsible for most of society’s ills,” said Madam Paygai.
She stressed the urgent need that inclusive education should be a must for all Liberians.
According to her, good education is the only way a country and its people can progress.
“Therefore, good education is the only way that a country can progress. With so much technology that enables you to collaborate with others in search of new ideas, education is no more the mundane process that it once used to be,” she stated.
The Greater Montserrado District One-E officer lauded the Executive Director of KEEP and staff for bringing women she believes suffer lots of injustices and marginalization to see the light.
Like Madam Paygai, other participants at the one-day interactive meeting thanked KEEP for the level of work ongoing, while at the same time urging the organization to continue its work.
