Court Summons MOJ In To Hear Nwabudike Petition For Declaratory Judgement

The Sixth Judicial Circuit Civil Law court of Montserrado County has summoned the Government of Liberia by and thru the Ministry of Justice to hear a petition filed by the former NEC nominee, Cllr. Ndubuisi Nwabudike, whose appointment sparked public outcry and was withdrawn by President Weah.

The Judge summoned the Government of Liberia by and thru the Ministry of Justice, to file their returns to the petitioners (Cllr. Nwabudike) on or before the 17th day of April A.D. 2010.
“Meanwhile, you will return the original writ of summons to my office on or before the 17th day of April A.D. 2020, with the official returns endorsed on the back of the original as to the manner of its service” he noted
Cllr. Nwabudike in his 13 counts petition for Declaratory Judgment is praying the court to declare him his right as a Liberian citizen to enable him to continue to practice law in the Republic of Liberia short of obstructions and to benefit from all rights and privileges associated with eh satus of citizenship without any preconditions. “That your honor will grant unto petitioner (Cllr. Nwabudike) all that seem just, legal and equitable in the premises” his prayer to the court noted.
In count five of his petition, he stated “that during the practice of his profession as Counsellor of the Supreme Court’s Bar, Petitioner was appointed to serve as Chairman of the LACC and following his confirmation by the Liberian senate to serve the Liberian government in the aforesaid appointed position, petitioner associated with the Ministry of Justice and successfully prosecuted a case of “Economic Sabotage” involving the former Defense Minister and others.” among other things he noted.

Further to count three of his petition, he said by virtue of petitioner’s status a Liberian, he attended the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law of the University of Liberia and earned a LLB Degree in law following a completion of his study at the law school he was admitted to the Montserrado County Bar as an Attorney to practice law
