MONROVIA-The Pastor of Church of Christ who is the Country Coordinator of Living Water International, Alfred Beyan has disclosed that the Board of Directors based in the United States has approved the funding for the construction of eight hand pumps in Bong, Margibi, Grand Bassa, and Montserrado Counties.
Pastor Beyan said with their living International is from Tennessee in the United States of America that is different from the other Living Water organization that is also providing water for communities.
He disclosed that with the approval of the board of Living Water International, the team in Liberia will shortly begin the construction and installation of the hand pumps within those communities.
Speaking in an interview in Paynesville, Pastor Beyan noted that the availability of safe drinking water for those within rural Liberia is critical to the transformation of their living condition.
According to him, the lack of access to safe drinking water within rural Liberia prompted the Board of Directors of Living Water International to address the unpleasant living condition of the people within rural Liberia.
Pastor Beyan further disclosed that the organization has made impactful contributions in the area of providing safe drinking water to communities, towns, and villages within the rural parts of the country, mostly Nimba, Bong , Bomi, Montserrado, Margibi, and Grand Bassa Counties.
He further narrated that within the four years that Living Water International has been working in Liberia, they have provided over 60 hand pumps to communities in most parts of the country.
The Pastor of Church of Christ who is the Country Coordinator of Living Water International Beyan said their mission is to help those in rural Liberia to graduate from drinking from the creeks.
He told our reporter that most of them are in the towns and villages; whenever they provide hand pumps for them, the villagers are applicative for such initiative.
“Water is life as we always say, he that provides water, provides life for the people“, he indicated.
Pastor Beyan further said given clean water to the people in the rural sector is useful to their lives.
He said that the origination is buttressing the government in the area of providing safe drinking water for the citizenry.
Pastor Beyan also indicated that it is their way of contributing to humanity and improving society.
