The Civil Law Court has issued a Writ of Summon for Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor and others in relation to the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) embattled President Alice Yeebahn’s suspension.
This follows a new petition for judicial review filed by Madam Yeebahn’s lawyer, Counselor Arthur Johnson on Thursday to the Court seeking to overturn the Vice President alleged illegal suspension of Madam Yeebahn.
Judge Yussif Kabba on October 12, 2018 issued a Writ of Summon instructing VP Taylor and others to appear before the Court on October 22, 2018 to respond to Madam Alice Yeebahn’s petition for Judicial Review consistent with law.
Judge Kabba’s summon claimed among other things that their failure to appear will leave the Court with no other alternative, to render a default judgement against them.
This is the second time the embattled LMA President Alice Yeebahn’s Petition for Judicial Review case is appearing at the Civil Law Court after it was previously dismissed by the same Court without prejudice to the suspended LMA President.
The embattled LMA President Alice Yeebahn and her Vice President Abraham Barchue along with her Assistant Secretary General Larwuo Hiama were suspended by Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor for alleged corruption at the Association.
