As One Bus, Five Motorcycles Set Ablaze In Bardnesville Clash

Tension Monday November 23, 2020 escalated in the Barnesville route following the death of a motorcyclist.

According to BanaFM official Facebook page, the tension started when a public transport bus commonly known as ‘Killer Bean’ accidentally killed a motorcyclist.

The station said the situation degenerated into a crisis as angry motorcyclists in the area reacted to the death of their colleague by setting ablaze the bus, causing fear among commuters and residents.

In their counter-reaction, bus drivers in solidarity reportedly went on the rampage setting fire on motorcycles.

The station reported that at least five motorcycles were destroyed.

Movements were stalled, with economic activities witnessing stagnation, signaling breakdown in the rule of law, thus leaving members of the public with no option, but to have called for police immediate intervention.
