Several business centers in Monrovia closed normal activities due to anti_government protest.
The protest is in demand of Ld16billion reportedly unaccounted for by the George Weah led government.
“We are protesting for the government to give account of the money. This is unacceptable,” David Fayombo said.
Several stores in central town are closed. Schools are also closed.
The protest is organized by the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia and other civil society organizations.
“We will continue to do this until a clear answer is given. If care is not taken, it could lead to the impeachment of this government,” Samson Tarh. a demonstrator said.
The group is expected to present a petition to the American Embassy, EU, AU and Ecowas.
