Liberian businessman Abel Fahnbulleh wants the government of Liberia through its current head of state, George Weah get more engaged with agriculture activity thus investing in the sector something he observed would eventually bring about economy stability.
Speaking on a wide range of national issues on Wednesday in Fiamah Sinkor, Abel Fahnbulleh said it is strange that leaders of Liberia still have the mentality of food importation which includes ordinary onions, oranges, potatoes, and rice among other things.
There is no need of importing these things when Liberia has the best climate and best agricultural potentials Fahnbulleh added.
“If a nation like china with a population of more than a billion is able to produce rice to feed its citizen and making export then what do we say to ourselves, Liberia as a small nation, this is a pure slavery,” he noted.
Liberian elect leaders into offices to take care of the nation but they only go and sit as vampire sucking the riches of the country Fahnbulleh asserted.
Fahnbulleh who spend most of his life in Ditch, said he is of the conviction that the Weah led government would put end to food importation saying Ghana , Nigeria, and others grow much rice and so import little, we too can do better.”
Commenting on the issue of security, Fahnbulleh stated that Liberia security is in a mess.
According to him, there should be a good security system put in place where the security would know the names of people living in a particular location for proper identification.
This he believes would help trace people in case of any eventuality thereby reducing crime rate among people in and around Liberia.
Accordingly; on the issue of dual currency, Fahnbulleh further linked the use of dual currency as major reason for the backwardness of this nation.
The Liberian businessman further lamented that Liberian should learn from all developing nations around the ECOWAS sub-region as a pure example of rapid development.
Fahnbulleh explained that the continual use of American dollar for translations would one day plunge the nation into chaos saying “all business interest of business men especially money chargers are purely to destroyed the nation with the American dollar.”
