MONROVIA-The Chairman of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) former Vice President Joseph Boakai has revealed that upon his return to the country, the internal conflict within the CPP will become a history.
Amb. Boakai upon taking the chairmanship of the CPP, committed that one of his key Priorities as chairman will be reconciliation.
Speaking recently to the Voice of America(VOA) the Unity Party Political leader who is vying for the CPP standard bearer position against the political leader of the Alternative National Congress Alexander Cummings, said he will reach out to mitigate as a means of reconciling the leadership.
He however called on Mr. Cummings to testify if he tampered with the CPP framework document as was alleged by some of the officials.
According to him, the quest for the CPP is to make President George Weah a one term president to free the people of Liberia from the hardship under the CDC led Government.
The Unity Party Political Leader said for the CPP to achieve such mandate from the Liberian people who are suffering at the hands of the CDC , is for the CPP to be united.
He said further urged supporters of the CPP to do away with attacking members and focus on liberation of the country through the democratic process come 2023 presidential elections.
The Unity Party Political leader is currently in the United States conducting town Hall meetings with supporters of CPP.
But his statement somehow contradicts what he earlier said. He has blamed Mr. Cummings of tampering with the framework document; which indicates he has already rendered judgement.
