PLEEBO-The Determined Ladies Organization, a community-based women’s group in Pleebo City, on January 26, 2026, marked its one-year anniversary with a generous donation to the Pleebo Health Center, reaffirming its dedication to community service and women-led development.
The anniversary celebration, held in Pleebo City, was attended by organization members, community leaders, and healthcare workers, and served as a moment to reflect on the group’s achievements over the past year and its growing impact on women and vulnerable residents in the community.
As part of the celebration, the organization presented essential items to the Pleebo Health Center, including bath soap, mops, tissue, paper, buckets, and other sanitary materials aimed at supporting cleanliness and improving daily operations at the facility.
Speaking during the program, the Chairlady of the Determined Ladies Organization, Madam Comfort Suah, emphasized the group’s mission of unity, empowerment, and service to humanity.
“Our organization focuses on helping each other and reaching out to those in need,” Madam Suah said. “We believe strongly in the power of unity, cooperation, and community support. Today, we proudly celebrate one year of service and the progress we have made together.”
Madam Suah highlighted several accomplishments recorded within the organization’s first year, noting that members have received financial assistance to start small businesses, while others have benefited from support during challenging times.
According to her, these initiatives have helped strengthen women’s economic independence and social wellbeing.
She stressed that community service remains a core priority of the organization, adding that collective action is essential for sustainable development.
“When we work together as women and as a community, we can make a meaningful and lasting difference,” she added.
The donation to the Pleebo Health Center, Madam Suah explained, was intended to appreciate the dedication and sacrifices of healthcare workers who continue to provide essential services to residents despite limited resources.
“Our goal is to recognize and appreciate the nurses and doctors who work tirelessly to care for patients every day,” she said. “This donation is our way of supporting their efforts and encouraging them to continue saving lives.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the health center, staff members expressed gratitude to the Determined Ladies Organization, describing the donation as timely and helpful in improving sanitation and service delivery at the facility.
Looking to the future, Madam Suah called on women and well-meaning citizens to join the organization, noting that increased membership would enhance its capacity to serve the community more effectively.
“We still need more members to join us in this noble endeavor,” she said. “Together, we can achieve greater things and make a real difference in our community.”
The one-year anniversary celebration of the Determined Ladies Organization stands as a strong reminder of the vital role grassroots women’s groups play in community development and the positive change that can be achieved through unity, compassion, and service.
