Yekepa October 10, 2025: Police in Yekepa, Nimba County, have launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a young woman, identified as Ronell Lebana Gewh, whose decomposed body was discovered in a man’s residence on Thursday evening.
Ronell had recently traveled from Monrovia to Yekepa, reportedly engaging in sex work. She was last seen at an entertainment spot known as “Place to Be,” where she met a man who took her home.
The man, now in custody, claimed she appeared under the influence of pills and remained motionless throughout the night. He allegedly left her in that state for days without seeking help until neighbors, alarmed by a foul odor, found her body.
Police are continuing their investigation as they await the results of a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
