MONROVIA-President George Manneh Weah has sent Condolence Message to His Majesty King Charles III and The Right Honorable Liz Truss, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the unfortunate passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which sad event took place on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the age of 96.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Weah, on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name, expressed heartfelt condolences to His Majesty King Charles III, and Members of the Royal Family, The Right Honorable Prime Minister Truss, and through her to the Government and People of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Commonwealth for the irreparable loss sustained.
The Liberian Leader noted that the Late Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered as one of the free world’s astute leaders, and a passionate force and champion for freedom, human rights, and international peace and stability.
President Weah further indicated that it is his ardent prayer and hope that God Almighty will grant the Royal Family, and the resilient people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Commonwealth comfort and strength during this difficult period of mourning.
