Monrovia-November 23, 2025: A heated political exchange has emerged following public statements from businessman and political figure Musa Hassan Bility and former CDC government official Dr. Lester Tenny, both directing sharply contrasting messages at former Minister of State Nathaniel Farlo McGill.
Bility, in a widely circulated statement released on [insert day], called on McGill to align with the Collaborating Management Council (CMC), arguing that Liberia is at a critical crossroads. He urged McGill to seize what he described as a new national opportunity.
Rep. Bility
“To my dear brother and friend, Nathaniel Farlo McGill. ‘Opportunity comes only but once.’ CDC has had its opportunity. This is CMC’s time. Don’t let the locust eat away more years. Please stand with us, guys, let us reclaim our country. Don’t let a bruised ego blur your vision for a better tomorrow,” Bility said.
His comments appear to be part of ongoing efforts to consolidate political alliances ahead of upcoming election, convention, or political declaration.
Dr. Lester
However, the statement sparked a fierce reaction from former ruling party stalwart Dr. Lester Tenny, who issued a scathing response targeting McGill and referencing unresolved controversies from the CDC administration.
In a strong rebuke posted on [insert platform/day], Dr. Tenny accused McGill of moral inconsistency and reminded the public of the deaths of several auditors during the George Weah-led government.
“Something must be disturbing this nitwit called McGill. Were auditors not murdered in this country during the CDC regime? The blood of the innocent always cried to God, and there shall be no peace for the wicked,” Tenny stated.
The back-and-forth has reignited public debate surrounding past governance failures, political loyalty shifts, and the growing tension among former CDC heavyweights as the national political landscape continues to realign. It remains unclear whether McGill will respond publicly to either statement.
