Liberian News: REMAPSEN Announces 2025 African Media Forum On Neglected Tropical Diseases In Abidjan

Monrovia-The African Media Network for Health and Environment (RAMEPSEN) has announced It would  host its 4th annual Media Forum on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in Abidjan from November 25th to 27th, 2025.

The event seeks  to educate journalists from 35 African countries on the urgent need to prioritize NTDs in media coverage.

It will be held under the theme “Media Contribution to Positioning the Fight Against Neglected Tropical Diseases in Africa,” providing participants opportunity to explore ways to raise awareness and advocate for action against these diseases.

Speak Up Africa and Sightsavers are among partners supporting he forum which will also feature the 4th edition of the REMAPSEN Awards, honoring outstanding African health and environmental journalists.

The event is expected to draw 70 foreign journalists, with prominent figures including Mr. Cissé Ibrahima Bacongoserving as President of the awards event.

Organizers expressed confidence that the forum will boost media engagement and community awareness in the fight against NTDs across Africa.
