Congo Town January 9, 2025-  The management of Prime Communications Network Inc. has granted Men Against Rape and Domestic Violence (MARDV) an hour of free airtime on its radio.

The one hour airtime is intended to freely broadcast anti-rape and domestic violence call-In program every Monday from 2pm to 3pm.

According to the management, it is their own way of remembering their late employee, journalist Trojan Molley Kiazolu and also joining the fight against rape and domestic violence in the Liberian society.

A MARDV release quotes the Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Mark N. Mengonfia as saying the gesture from the Prime FM family is one of the best ways of joining the fight against rape and domestic violence.

“ As an organization, we want to thank the management of Prime FM particularly Kelvin Demey and V. Vehzelee Sumo for providing us with this platform. We see it as a great way of joining the fight and we strongly believe that messages from this program will go wide and far in protecting our women and children against all forms of violence” Mengonfia said.

He added that the one hour will be used to first of all disabuse men minds from raping and prepatrating domestic violence, to educate men on how to manage their stress and anxiety among others.

“We have titled the program, ‘Protecting our women and children against rape and domestic violence’. The one hour program will be done in simple Liberian English and also intended for people to call-in and give their views on how they were able to manage rape and domestic violence cases or advance ways to help men stay away from rape and all forms of violence”.

About MARDV-Liberia: Men Against Rape and Domestic Violence is an institution that was established by the late sports journalist, Trojan Molley Kiazulu as a means of raising awareness against violence in our society. Sadly, he did not live to see the organization achieve the goal for which it was established.
