Liberia News: Pres. Boakai Nominates George Solo As Ambassador To Italy

MONROVIA-President Joseph Boakai Tuesday nominated Mr. George G. Solo as Liberia’s Ambassador-Designate to the Republic of Italy.

The President urged the Liberian Senate to accord the nomination expedited consideration upon its return from constituency break, in a communication to the President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Hon. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence.

He emphasized it will ensure a smooth transition and sustained momentum in the Government’s diplomatic engagements.

Upon confirmation, Ambassador-Designate Solo will be charged with representing Liberia’s interests in Italy, deepening bilateral relations, fostering economic cooperation, and advancing the nation’s foreign policy priorities, the Executive Mansion said.

President Boakai reaffirmed his call for all officials of government to continue upholding the highest standards of diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in service to the country and its people.
