MONROVIA-An aspirant in the impending Legislative and Presidential Elections, in District # 2 Montserrado County, Bishop Nimely Jarbokly Montserrado is calling for the abolition of by-elections in the country.
Speaking on the OK FM Conversation recently in Monrovia, the Legislative Aspirant mentioned that if a sitting lawmaker dies, the political party he belongs to should present its member to represent the party.
He noted that the cost for the conduct of by-election is very huge and as such, the government of Liberia should institute initiatives that will prevent the huge spending.
The Cleric indicated that when elected, special priority will be given to capacity development for teachers.
Bishop Nimely pointed out that he is going to work along with his colleagues aimed at drafting a bill for the decentralization of the Monrovia Vocational Training Center, (MVTC).
The Legislative Aspirant in District # 2 Montserrado County stressed that with the decentralization, residents in Johnsonville will have access to enroll at the MVTC.
“I have gotten the support that is needed to do my work in district # 2 Montserrado County, he noted”.
“We now have a market building constructed in district # 2 through our instrumental”.
“I am grateful for the rehabilitation of roads and bridges in district # 2 Montserrado County,” he noted”.
He said that when elected as a Lawmaker of District # 2 Montserrado County, he will increase advocacy for road construction throughout the district.
Bishop Nimely noted that all necessary arrangements have been made to bring provide materials for road construction in the District.
He disclosed that people will be given the freedom to contribute whatever they want to contribute to the district.
