MONROVIA-The naming ceremony of Senator Jeremiah Kpang Koung as running mate to the former Vice President and Standard Bearer of Unity, (UP) Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai took a dramatic scene, when Montserrado County District # 10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah made obnoxious remarks.
The elaborate program was attended by current and former government officials and political party leaders among others.
Some were allowed to make speeches, while others just listened and applauded the speakers.
When he was given the opportunity to make remarks, Representative Kolubah noted that he cannot bear seeing President George M. Weah being elected for another six years.
He was described by some supporters of the Unity Party as a “nightmare” to President Weah.
The Montserrado County Lawmaker threatened that with any attempt by the Liberian Leader to rig the October 10, 2023’s Presidential and Legislative Elections, he will pick up arms to chase President Weah out of the Country.
Recently, the Unity Party signed the Farmington Peace Agreement with a commitment to jealously protect the country’s cherished peace.
At the end of the speech which was applauded by Partisans of UP, Kolubah noted that he cannot allow the elections of the President to take precedence.
“Let me sound this caveat to Amb. George M. Weah, that 30 minutes after his tenure, there will be an interim government.”
“We cannot allow him to go above 30 minutes” Representative Kolubah indicated.
