15 Women Get Political Leadership Training

MONROVIA-Ahead of the October 10, 2023, Presidential and Legislative Elections, the Organization for Women and Children (ORWOCH), with funding support from the Kvinna Till Kvinna and the Sweden Embassy, has conducted its Flagship Women’s Political Leadership Training Program under the Banner, “Raise the Bar.”

The Training has brought together 15 women between the ages of 18–35.

The Leadership Training is aimed at encouraging more women to run public offices in the country.

It is also meant to increase the knowledge of emerging women leaders in electoral laws, regulations, campaign planning, resource mobilization, communication, planning, preparation, leadership, fundraising, and networking.

It is a flagship program that has been developed, and implemented by the Organization for Women and Children, (ORWOCH) as a core program.

The “Raise the Bar” Training was first held in 2017, and it was an eye-opener for young females.

Women’s political participation is still a challenge. Women are experiencing all forms of violence (physical, emotional, and financial).
